Aquatint steps for the illustration of my salad. Arugula, pecans, and dried cranberries and raisins. Color proofs and edition will be posted later.
More aquatint steps from a plate a few months ago; there were one or two more that I somehow don’t have photos of, but here are most of the transitions. The divots of the crust were later filed out and polished, giving an irregular line instead of the smooth circle pictured.
Color proofs of this print were posted previously.
Ended up going with the orange/sepia mix. Edition pulled (plus a couple extra), so that leaves more color proofs on the apples for tomorrow!
I may have bitten off more than I can chew, but I am going to try my damndest to get this thing completes by the end of the semester.
Watercolor on Arches, 44”x22”
This is a preparatory drawing for an upcoming project where I will be casting my face, and creating molded paper masks with paper. The masks will then be painted and altered in various ways.
CTP’s for the squash soup plate.
1. Sepia on tan BFK Rives.
2. Sepia on white BFK Rives.
3. Orange and Sepia on white BFK Rives.
4. Orange on white BFK Rives.
5. Graphite on white BFK Rives.
I am leaning towards either the orange or the orange/sepia, but may try a few more on tan before deciding haha….
